Terms and Conditions
Contract

A contract shall come into existence between the client and Stretton lakes, when a deposit has been processed and a confirmation letter has been issued. The contract shall be governed by UK Law. The contract will be subject to the following booking conditions.

Booking

Bookings are taken from Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday. Short breaks can be taken Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday. Clients must be over 18 years of age and agree to take full responsibility for the property and the payment of any rental fees or damages.

Deposit

£100 deposit is required to reserve a lodge. The remainder of the balance is to be paid 8 weeks in advance. A lodge cannot be confirmed until a deposit or full payment is recieved within 3 days of a client making a provisional booking.

Payment

Payments can be made by cheque, credit card or debit card.  Cheques must be made payable to Stretton Lakes and can only be accepted if it is received not less than two weeks before the commencement of the rental. For last minute booking, telephone or email Stretton lakes.

Cancellations

Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason must be in writing.  Once the booking has been confirmed the deposit becomes non-refundable.  Cancellations made within 4-2 weeks of the booking date 50% of the total will be payable, and under two weeks 75% of the total will be charged.

Force Majeure

Stretton lakes regret we cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contract with you is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances which amount to force majeure. Circumstances amounting to force majeure include any event which we could not even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of your holiday home. (which cannot reasonably be remedied to a satisfactory standard before the start of your holiday) through fire, flood explosion, storm or other weather damage(including a period of electricity failure), break-in, criminal damage or any similar event. Such circumstances also include riots or civil strife, natural or nuclear disaster, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity and all similar situations beyond our control.

Period of Hire

Weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday. Short breaks are Friday to Monday 3 nights, Monday to Friday 4 nights for the same price as 3. Lodges must be vacated by 10.00am, on the day of departure. Lodges can be occupied from 2.30pm on the day of arrival.

Facilities

There may be occasions when advertised facilities and equipment may be unavailable due to breakdown, malfunction, or other reasons. The management of Stretton Lakes will try to rectify any malfunction as quickly as possible. But no refund of any or all of the money paid by the customer will be made.

Stretton Lakes cannot guarantee hot tub temperature on your arrival due to water renewal.

Occupation of the Lodges

Lodges sleep 4 + 2 on a sofa bed if required, A charge for extra persons will be £40 per person.

Services

Included in the rental charges are all bed linen, towels, and bathrobes for use during your stay.  For bookings of more than one week the linen and towels will be changed at the end of each week.  Electricity, water and gas are all included.

Fixtures and fittings

All fixtures and fittings and equipment must be used solely for there intended purpose. Stretton Lakes must request that you do not take into the lodges any lighting equipment, barbecues, or any items that may cause danger to the lodges, its equipment or occupants.

Care of the Property

The Client shall take proper care of the property and its contents. The lodges should be left in a clean and tidy manner. Breakages / damage must be reported to Stretton lakes and made good or paid for if appropriate.

Smoking

All lodges are strictly no smoking

Children

Children are welcome, but must be supervised at all times, extra care must be taken with toddlers and young children due to the deep water nearby. Stretton Lakes accepts no responsibly for personal safety on site.

Visitors

No additional visitors are to stay over night without permission from Stretton lakes.

Pets

Sorry no pets.

Late Arrivals

Please contact us if you are intending to arrive after 9pm

Liability

Stretton Lakes cannot accept liability for any damage, expense, injury, death or loss of any nature whatsoever suffered by any person(s) from any cause other than in the case of the negligence of our employees. You are strongly recommended to take out appropriate personal insurance for your holiday.

Right of Entry

Employees of Stretton Lakes shall be allowed the right of entry to any cabin at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

Complaints

Stretton lakes endeavor to ensure everything is to your satisfaction during your stay, should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the lodge, it must be notified promptly to the management, and in the event of a serious problem confirmed in writing.
